My name is Nurunnisa. In Malay it means Cahaya Perempuan/Wanita. It comes from Arabic words Nur (means a cahaya) and Nisa (means perempuan/wanita).
It is a nice name and some people usually relate your personality with your name. For example, when I was in school, my teacher always said I have a nice name but I didn’t behave like what my name meant. Back then I was a naughty student and I was like a tomboy. But I like being naughty because I hate living on the straight lines and obey the rules.
That makes me feel confuse. Do we really need to behave as nicely as what our name’s mean? For me, it is supposed to be I want my name to mean me. Not the other way round.
